Casares

The area of Casares is located within the Andalucian province of Málaga. Whilst some of its beaches form a part of the famous Costa del Sol, Casares offers so much more than just sun, sea and sangria, though all three are available in abundance. Literally a few minutes’ drive from the coast is some of the most spectacular scenery that Spain has to offer, almost on the doorstep of Majestic Casares.

The village of Casares itself is located around fifteen kilometres inland, but the official municipality is 160 km² in total and is teeming with interesting things to do.

There are some fantastic restaurants to choose from, excellent walking, ancient caves and some very well known cycling routes – some more challenging than others!

The closest marina is Duquesa, where it’s possible to immerse yourself in the full Costa del Sol experience, and Sotogrande is also a popular up market alternative.

There are a number of markets locally, and whilst timings vary they include the Sunday markets at Estepona Marina and Sabinillas fairground as well as other smaller markets on Friday mornings on Sabinillas beachfront and another in Cancelada.
