Where to Play Golf

There are some spectacularly good golf courses within a very short drive of Majestic Casares. These include:

Finca Cortesin

An 18-hole course with a top-end hotel and spa alongside. The facilities here are excellent and include driving range and putting green. The course was ranked in the top five golf courses in Spain by Golf World Magazine. The green fee for 18-holes starts at €245, but increases in high season.

The San Roque Club

Two championship courses set amongst Andalusian cork trees. The old course was established in 1990 and is very well respected, having been the host of many championships, including the Spanish Open. The New Course opened in 2003 and enjoys elements of a links course in places. Green fees start at €72 for the new course, which is more readily accessible to the public.

Real Club de Valderrama

Home of the 1997 Ryder Cup and set within spectacular scenery, Valderrama is well known as possibly the best golf course in Europe and is immaculately kept. It still regularly plays host to tournaments on the European tour. Green fees are €350, where available, though as a members club, availability can be very limited.
